If you have Medicare Parts A & B this is also known as Original Medicare. After a deductible is paid you are responsible for a percentage of any remaining costs. This does NOT include prescription drugs.
This is Medicare Part D that can you can get from private companies as a standalone plan or part of a Medicare Advantage Plan.
Also called Medigap, this helps cover out of pocket costs not covered by Original Medicare. These plans are offered by private insurance companies.
Medicare Advantage plans or Medicare Part C are offered by private insurance companies and allow you to get your Part A, Part B and Part D coverage all in one plan.
